Using a management tool is crucial for proper supervision of a law or consultancy firm. This is because it allows to keep track of what has been done and save time when billing. Furthermore, we believe that it is essential that such a tool is capable of generating relevant indicators in order to improve performance of the firm. Reports such as dashboards should allow regular and real-time monitoring of case files, from a financial point of view but it should also monitor the actual time invested. For example, an associate must be able to check very quickly if a case file is profitable and if it is not, he must be able to know the cause.
Some software vendors offer some key graphs and figures in their product. As a matter of fact, it’s a first step and KBilling, likewise, has in its main window summarizing graphs enabling both comprehensive and project-by-project based monitoring. However, each firm has specific needs and KPIs must be established. This field of software is called Business Intelligence (BI). Very few vendors of management software for the above-mentioned sectors are endowed with genuine dashboard tools of high-quality and at affordable prices. At Keluro, we strive to bring to our customers the most appropriate technologies. In this way, rather than redevelop an entire dashboard technology, we have ensured the compatibility of KBilling with one of the best Business Intelligence tools on the market: Microsoft’s Power BI. Because of its ease of use, the Power BI dashboards based on KBilling can also be designed by our clients themselves as well as our teams of analysts.
In this sample report from our demo data, we have two tabs. The first one below makes it possible to analyze the actual time invested by each employee on each case and to report the billed period with the type of activity performed.
In the second tab, the graphs are a reflection of a financial analysis of the cases, for example by comparing what has been billed with what was paid by the customer.
