As we move more and more into the digital age, more and more employees are working remotely. This is becoming common practice, more so with freelancers, and is still a professional novelty that is evolving, where maintaining proper lines of communication is essential. Working remotely detracts from team connections and rapport due to lack of face-to-face with colleagues. Tone and intent can be lost, and more importantly documents, information, and projects. Keluro’s smart email sharing uses channels assigned with a hashtag to track and archive as needed. But to keep up the ever changing email game with freelancers, and remote workers, we are now introducing the capability of sharing a channel with an external employee.
Not only does this allow for collaboration on a larger level, it also allows the new external employee or freelancer to quickly catch up on a project already in progress. With access to the channel, they are able to read pertinent files, access necessary information, and read ongoing files. Not only does this streamline the remote employee on-boarding process, it allows the new employee to read and study to catch up at a quicker pace, ultimately saving time, and money. And with the new external channel sharing capability, information is read only, meaning that senior management is able to share the information, without fear of documents and information being altered moving forward. The new team member can easily stay up to date, and internal management is able to share necessary information with the use of a hashtag. The way we use email is always changing, and Keluro is a smart platform for teams to broaden communication and collaboration internally, but now externally using a hashtag channel system.
